Girls and I went to Espa life in Corinthia Hotel on last Wednesday. It was super expensive but definite worth all your money. The newly build five stars Corinthia hotel is only one and half year old I heard. Espa is one of the luxury spas in London. It said Espa was voted the best spa in London 2012.
We booked a spa day with treatments. The attentions to details of the spa facilities are just breathtaking. Moreover, their personal service was the best. I attached my whole day schedule in the spa and all the staff and therapists were very professional.
There are three floors: basement is modern luxury thermal and pool floor, gym room and male’s changing floor. Grand floor is reception and lunch / lounge floor. First floor is female changing room and sleeping pots / relaxing area. Before my treatment time, we went to the thermal and pool floor to enjoy the pool and sauna. It was spotless clean with perfect warm temperatures. All the white marble seats were all heated. Walls has natural warm fire as well.
When it was approaching your treatment time, the therapist came to collect me and brought me to the individual therapist room. The room was round, big and spaces with individual shower room inside your therapist room. All the floors, wall and shower area are all made by white marble with luxury designs. I had 90 minutes facial treatment, 30 minutes body treatments plus foot massage. The therapist made the room very dark, relax and soothing with herbal candle scenes. Facial were all using their Epsa skin organic products. The important bit was the music. Espa’s music was selected carefully and up to date relaxing jazz / soothing music, not just normal ocean music.
After treatments, we had a light lunch with glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne. The veggie lunch was not bad, but as a meat eater, I prefer something more ‘unhealthy’. Sorry!
After late lunch, some girls went to do their treatments; some girls went to the swimming pool. I went to do my nails. It was an advance nail treatment including wax hand care. I chosen a dark cherry nail colour from Essie. My hands were all done perfectionly and I went to the relax area to read magazine, then get changed and checked out Espa.
I met John for dinner and went for 2:54’s concert in XOYO.
It was great experience and is the best spa in London. I have been to Chelsea’s boutique Spa, and they are really good too. But there is no way to compare with 5 stars Espa experience – it comes with the price of course.
If you are thinking something special for birthday or anniversary, ESPA life in Corinthia definitely fit your requirements. It is best spoiled day of this year for me.
